We are creating a school where children are known well, families feel welcome, and learning grows from strong relationships, curiosity, play, creativity, and meaningful experiences.

Our goal is simple:

Help every child feel safe, known, capable, and ready to learn and contribute.

Educators prepare connected art, nature, music, practical-life, and reading areas in a new early-learning space

Wrencrest is developing a research-informed, Reggio-inspired educational framework with selected Montessori-inspired practices that support independence, purposeful choice, and hands-on learning.

Families and educators share what they know about each child. Regular communication, photographs, gatherings, and practical support build that partnership.

How we partner with families

Wrencrest is being designed as a family school and a neighborhood school—a place where parents know their child’s teachers and feel comfortable asking questions, sharing concerns, and being part of the community.

Families bring essential knowledge about their children. Teachers bring another perspective from the classroom. We believe children benefit when those perspectives are shared.

Teachers will communicate regularly with families about children’s days, development, relationships, and learning, including photographs and examples of classroom experiences.

We also plan to create opportunities for families to connect through gatherings, parent workshops, classroom experiences, learning celebrations, and practical resources.

Most importantly, families should know that when something matters to them, it matters to us.

Wrencrest is designed to support the whole child from infancy through Pre-K.

Our classrooms and learning environments will support:

We do not see these as separate parts of childhood.

A conversation can build language and friendship. A block project can involve mathematics, engineering, imagination, negotiation, and persistence. A walk outdoors can become science, storytelling, art, and care for the natural world.

That connected view of learning is central to Wrencrest.

Accessible materials and spaces for collaboration, creative work, movement, and quiet moments help children participate.

The environment is part of the education

Wrencrest’s planned spaces are being designed for young children—to support movement, exploration, creative work, small-group learning, quiet moments, relationships, and increasing independence.

Materials will be accessible and purposeful. Children will have opportunities to make choices, work together, concentrate, create, investigate, and care for their environment.

And our educators will continually reflect on what children need and how the classroom can respond.

Quality, for us, is not one program or label.

It is something children and families should experience every day.

We are currently in pre-opening development and are targeting a Fall 2027 opening, following completion of construction, licensing, inspections, staffing, and final preparations.

Plans and timelines may change as the project develops.

Our planned spaces will support care, movement, small-group learning, creative work, quiet moments, and time with family.
